Flight of the Phoenix
Submitted by pablo on 2007-03-23 05:53:02 (via blogsofsandy.blogspot.com)
A trip of 240 km from Bangalore (India) to Yercaud and back on bikes can be a real adventure. Beautiful Indian temples, water falls similar to Niagara Falls, places with a high density of butterflies of different sizes and shapes, and lots of good memories makes the trip worth it every kilometer.   More...

Riding Roadless
Submitted by cleo on 2007-03-23 05:08:20 (via www.gohither.net)
If you have a girlfriend, think twice before taking her along with you on such a bike trip… This is one of the most unusual It’s takes place in Mahrashtra and no other state boasts of the variety of roads as Maharashtra does… but in this case the Taoist saying "Journey is the reward, not the destination" is very true.

Ballooning over Carhenge
Submitted by roxy on 2007-03-23 04:48:59 (via www.clusterballoon.org)
This article is a true inspiration. Have you ever thought to fly attached to…balloons? Well, someone already made it. And it is so impressive; a lot of white and yellow balloons filled with neon gas can be the most pleasant transportation mean. Considering the start and return point, the Carhenge in Nebraska, this makes it even most spectacular.

The scope of this journey is as magnificent as the trip itself. 5 people in wheelchairs, members of the Handicapped Scuba Association's (HSA) made a tour to Egypt, the country at the edge of myth, history and modern times. The places are indeed splendid, and the whole article is very impressive.   More...

A Fractured Rib
Submitted by Adele on 2007-03-16 07:11:14 (via www.tamegoeswild.com)
Never bike like this. Unless you really want to show off, racing with a train. This „tame” guy got a broken rib, but what mattered most at the moment was that the people on the train won’t see how he flipped over...

Mystery Hill: America's Stonehenge?
Submitted by pablo on 2007-03-16 03:49:03 (via www.unmuseum.org)
Another world wonder: it’s in America and looks like the Stonehenge, but in a smaller variant. The main question is: who built it? The Native Americans living in the northeast before Europeans arrived didn't build in stone. The colonial farmers didn't arrive in the valley until 1730 and we know that construction must have been started before 1769.   More...

The Last Eden
Submitted by bindero on 2007-03-15 07:41:34 (via theregoesjohn.com)
“Sorata, Bolivia, is the kind of place that makes me want to buy a house”. The irresistible beauty of the surroundings and the pleasure of hiking entire days in the Andes make of it just the perfect place to go. Of course, this is apart from some misunderstandings with the local guide, but this is another story.   More...

Off Peak in Ecuador!
Submitted by cleo on 2007-03-15 06:56:52 (via www.gohither.net)
This entire story describes a painful attempt to see Volcano Cotopaxi. The rain and everything seemed to be working against it. Won’t there be at least thirty minutes of clear weather to get to see this flawless scenery?   More...

Belgian Forests in Autumn
Submitted by Adele on 2007-03-15 06:41:12 (via www.worldtravelstories.com)
When I looked at the picture of this mouflon I have concluded, this is a very elegant animal. Moreover, in the midst of a forest painted in the whole range of autumn colors. Hiking can indeed reveal some things you would not have a chance to know otherwise.   More...
