| Kazakhstan is full of anomalies where nothing quite adds up, neither Asia nor Europe, but betwixt and between. People go to any lengths to help you feel welcome in their country. | Dubai has some of the most spectacular buildings and building projects in the world. Four of them are man-made island communities for the very wealthy and like nothing you've ever seen: the Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel, World Islands - really the jewelry of the Persian Gulf (and all for sale:)).

| “Tirana is a city of extreme contrasts. A donkey-drawn cart pulls up along side of a top-line Mercedes. A Muslim cleric sings the morning prayers as a spandex-clad woman enjoys her morning run. A cow looks up from grazing to notice a major traffic jam”. Looks like a scene from an Indian movie, while it is a European country we are talking about.

| “Luxurious flowers and tropical trees were everywhere. There was a profusion of color and beauty that filled our senses. Birds of paradise… the flowing palms and the huge banyan trees… volcanic activity… Hawaiian dancing and singing…” That’s Hawaii and this isn’t just a report of what they did, but rather sharing their impression.

| Imagine yourself traveling on a 1924, steam powered, oil fired, Baldwin Locomotive. Isn’t it a nice experience? Now, can you imagine being entertained by "The World's Greatest Train Singer", who plays guitar, harmonica and sings train songs? What a nice surprise for the passengers!

| What do you do, if you end up in Cordoba? Maybe by reading this, one can get a pretty good idea what the place is like, moreover there are plenty of pictures. The main attraction seems to be Mezquita, which I gather is a very architecturally intricate fortress…

| Impressions of Bangkok from a Netherlands’ girl: starting from the double check and the airports and ending with a Super Girls Club treat – maybe it was funny for men, but the girls performing seemed bored. What’s there to be excited about?
