| The palmeries of Tunisia are the most amazing spots to visit, contrasting with the barren cities close by. One of them contains approximately 400,000 palms, which is twice the size of the population of the city to which it belongs.

| “Kasbahs, Berber and nomads. These are only some catchwords which describe Morocco”. What happened to my old dream, getting to see the desert? Reading this article made me vivdly imagine the powerful sand dunes and the amazing green oases in North Africa, and it got me started: I’m already putting money aside for the trip of my life. I’m serious!:)

| Rain crashed on the tin roof of a small caravan dispensing draught beer. Claire and I huddled beneath it, sipping Becks from refundable plastic cups. Dance music thumped from neat piles of speakers lining both sides of Strasse des 17 Juni, played by DJs now frantically trying to cover their equipment.

| A Glimpse of Kabul, Afghanistan |

| Have you ever been to a weird city, where dusty streets play host to scores of bearded men with intense stares, blue wraiths in ankle-length burkas, steely-eyed children and crippled old men whose eyes bespoke hunger and cold? Try Kabul, Afghanistan. Despite all these, it still gives great stories for travelers to tell! Like this one.

| I must be really torn in order to get to the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, and leave my ATM receipt there, instead of a peace note I have written for one of my relatives. Well, this article’s author did it, and it was really fun to read about it. Still, I’m not sure what the title has to do with the rest of the article. Can anyone enlighten me?:)

| The Voodoo Lands of Togo and Benin |

| I’ve surely heard about voodoo, and I would’ve certainly loved to use it on some people (ha), but I’ve never assisted to a real voodoo ceremony. Now I know I shouldn’t miss my chance to do it if I ever go to Africa. And if I get to visit with the King himself, like this article’s author did, I can consider myself a happy traveler:).

| How many spent their night in a capsule hotel? I didn’t, I NEED SPACE. Still, the deal is better than I’d imagined: every “capsule” has a TV and a radio in, there’s plenty of food, etc. Since I’ll visit Japan soon, I might give the Capsule Hotel a try. And space shouldn’t be an issue, if sumo-like folks manage to get a great night sleep there :).

| The terrific gales of wailing wind and rain make you start thinking tsunami!, the food: an exquisitely silken piece of toro sashimi will leave you with the feeling of patting a soft angora cat only to discover unsheathed and unexpectedly sharp claws, and having delicious ice cream 4desert while smelling antiseptic disinfectant is unforgettable!..;)

| Aruba: Shrouded in Mystery |
| Submitted by christine on

| What is it that really happened that May 30th when Alabama teen Natalee Holloway vanished into the night, during her stay in Aruba? No one has seen her since she left with 3 locals in the early hours of that day. Aruba = One Happy Island? I don’t think so. This article made me consider safety issues above fun and beautiful scenery. Sad & scary:(
