According to this article, the Faroer are a perfect destination for a stopover when you're on your way to Iceland by ferry from Denmark. It's not a popular tourist destination, but its nature is overwhelming.
“The boat ride was amazing, along towering cliffs crowded with all kinds of birds, and sometimes even a sheep on an apparently unreachable spot of grass. After the tour I started walking up the mountain along the hiking track to Saksun.” I adore this typical landscape of the Faroe Islands. Remote land that offers quiet and relaxation! ”Situated in the heart of the Gulf Stream in the North Atlantic halfway between Scotland and Iceland, the Faroe Islands are almost unknown part of Europe. Extremely beautiful landscape - that's what attracts here the tourist”. The unknown is always attractive!
