| It used to be that backpacking trips to Fiji involved a bus ride from Nadi to Suva, then a ferry to somewhere like Ovalau, Savusavu, Taveuni or Kadavu. No more. These days young budget travelers are lining up to go to the Yasawa Islands.

| Fiji is the kind of place you will enjoy in spite of the poor service. Diving is one of the things to do, as the underworld is so rich with so many unique and curious creatures and corals. Yet another particularity of the Fijian culture is the Kava root drink ritual.

| “The famous Blue Lagoon is actually not a single spot but a whole area between the Nanuya Lailai and Nanuya Levu islands”. It is very popular for being the site for one of the Pacific's most exclusive Resorts: Turtle Island. And although it is not possible to visit it, snorkeling around is just amazing.

| Frankly speaking, I wouldn’t do what this article’s author did: going to Fiji for 4 days only. And even if I did plan my trip that way firstly, you must be a hero to get me out of there in time without getting hurt :). Pretty interesting article, it talks about housing, food and some activities to keep you busy in the beautiful islands.
