| “Vous les vous couche’ avec moi?” might be one of the questions asked when traveling alone to France. This trip would make for a good romantic comedy subject. Unfortunately, ladies, the end is not what you’d hope it to be. Well, you can take it as: to be continued…

That was an interesting and pretty common story. Indeed when you are in a new place and especially if you don't speak the language of that place you are so vulnerable to all kind of situations. I just remembered my last trip to Poland and the situation when I was looking for somebody to give me his mobile phone just to write a sms, because mine was dead. Can you imagine their reactions? A person speaking in a foreign language (english) asking you to give her your mobile for an uncertain period of time. I think I wouldn't give to anybody my phone. But I finally managed to find a cell phone and everything was fine.
Indeed it's amazing how seemengly normal situations in your place can turn into desperate ones in an unknown city.
If you have some lost in translation funny stories, I always like to read them. |
