Really enjoyed your tale of travelling through these often overlooked countries in South America. You must have a very understanding wife who lets you go off on these flights of fancy!

really enjoyed the article! just one question here... if 80% is covered with forest what do this people do? i mean... how do they have fun over there?

A lot of the people live in the "bush"... out in the forest of Guyana. I am a missionsary and have been to Guyana three times, but I have not been into the forest part. Although my dad has traveled into the bush. Usually to have fun, I suppose they would travel out to Georgetown to the market or something. But the people in the bush live pretty simple lives, I don't think many of them really travel out much because they are working.
