Submitted by ManjaB on 2008-08-11 06:10:33 (via www.off-the-beaten-track.net)
The article describes both hiking in the Dolomites and visiting Venice vividly, underscoring the contrast between both destinations. A joy to read.

I guess ten days or so - five in the Dolomites, five in Venice. Yes, you're right: it's incredibly cool.

I have been to Venice and his account is pretty dam accurate. It's amazing. I loved going there, my favourtie place of all time. The way the city presents itself is truly incredible. It's ten times better than I could ever had imagined.
Definately a must see. After reading that article, I really want to go back again!
