Lots of beautiful churches and other historical buildings, but also museums with sometimes surprising themes, like the Devils Museum in Kaunas or the depressing KGB Museum in the capital Vilnius. Unabashed religiosity is on display everywhere, but Crucifix Hill is over the top...
How much I knew about Vilnius? Not a lot. I sure didn’t know it’s the place to see the latest Mercedes Benz overtake a Zil truck up a paved street past a 40 year old trolleybus; or that its best pub it’s called The Pub; or that it’s got an imposing KGB museum. So this article is very informative, check it out; take it as a cultural experience.
