| In Turkey the one thing that Christians and Muslims have in common is that the woman remains subservient. From a stool in a bar in Pendik, Istanbul it dawned on me that the day that women are allowed in bars will be the day that trouble starts to brew!

| Turkey somehow manages to combine religious divide to the extent that all live in harmony! As I set off on a 17 KM trek to Istanbul I saw life, not as a tourist but as an accepted observer to a society that could show Europe plenty on how to live without constant squabling!
