Submitted by roxy on 2007-03-30 06:11:53 (via www.bootsnall.com)
For most travelers, the South Aegean coast of Turkey is a holiday resort and not much else. Very Old Things
Submitted by roxy on 2007-03-15 04:15:11 (via realtravel.com)
It is really wonderful this article, the Turkish history is so impressive. Bet Turkish sultans would die to find out that a lot of simple people just go around in their house, dormitories, kitchens and even bathrooms and toilets. Perfect destination!

Turkish Smells
Submitted by Laurentzi on 2007-03-09 07:50:29 (via www.gohither.net)
What’s with this… odor? No, this isn't the type of smell that one gets after exercise, nor after walking all day in the hot sun. No, this odor had an edge to it, a personality… It says, "here I am, you can't escape me." Pretty freaky, huh? But hey, here is the recipe to become a native. Then, who cares? The smell won’t matter anymore.

The historical city center, the very hospitable people and the low prices make out of Istanbul a very attractive city. This article can help you better make an idea of what Istanbul is; it contains a lovely experience and adorable pictures.   More...

Things You Don't See Often
Submitted by cleo on 2006-12-29 01:47:17 (via www.indiaoverland.biz)
A very strange announcement on the local radio: "Greek Cypriots lay down your arms or Turkish MIG jets will bomb Nicosia". You would think somebody is pulling a joke. Aha! Not the case. Suddenly, there was a tremendous noise as a jet fighter roared overhead only 100 meters above the ground… Are you scared yet? Still an awsome place to visit.   More...

Istanbul

I’ve heard Istanbul is a very beautiful city to visit, but didn’t have a chance yet. The Topkapi palace with its large collection of Chinese ceramics, a sacred relics area, a Treasury, the Harem, an armory and a garden with a view of the Sea of Marmara is one of the wonderful things. But there is more…
